The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading and optimizing all HR functions at HeartLand, LLC and its operating companies to support the business and strategic objectives of the collective business. This role ensures strategic alignment between HR policies, compliance, talent acquisition, and employee relations while fostering a high-performance culture. The Director accomplishes this through the leadership of a highly capable team of Human Resources professionals.


The role requires the willingness to lead the Human Resources function differently than the classic textbook approach. The Director collaborates with leadership to develop adaptable people policies aligned with business objectives. Additionally, the role requires strict confidentiality in handling sensitive HR matters to maintain trust with the executive and senior leadership team. A key focus of this role is leveraging AI and technology within HR to drive efficiencies and scalability of the HeartLand growth strategy.


The Director of Human Resources must lead the distributed Human Resources team in a pragmatic way that enables the people within the business to unlock the potential of the business. The Director must also exemplify the HeartLand values of Human, Exceptional, Accountable, Respectful, and Trusted.
