THE OPPORTUNITY:
Oversee and report all manufacturing, quality, safety, procurement and logistics activities
Run manufacturing, drive continuous improvement and ensure that the proper organization is in place
Implement Group policies in Quality, Safety, Environment and Corporate Social Responsibility
Manage and report administrative and financial activities
Manage on-site personnel
Entertain good relationships with local authorities (mayor, county judge, representatives of the Lufkin Economic Development team…) and local actors (neighboring companies, local vendors…)
Direct report to the Group Director Industrial Operations and dotted lines to the COO Gattefossé USA
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Oversee and report all manufacturing, quality, safety, procurement, and logistics activities:
Develop plans that help operations run smoothly
Manage all aspects of production
Monitor productivity, production yields and right first time ratios to reduce inefficiencies and waste
Liaise with Supply Chain organization in the headquarters to execute expected production schedules
Analyze data and create reports to inform top management
Oversee work schedules to ensure coverage
Oversee price negotiations with current and alternate subcontractors and vendors, including freight forwarders
Liaise with management and headquarters to make sure that Group policies are well known and implemented at Gattefossé Manufacturing USA Inc. and Gattefossé Texas Inc. in various domains:
Quality
Safety
Environment
Corporate Social Responsibility
Manage and report administrative and financial activities at Gattefossé Manufacturing USA Inc. and Gattefossé Texas Inc.:
Responsible for defining and implementing P&L (OPEX)
Develop and manage budgets
Responsible for defining and implementing investments (CAPEX)
Develop and manage investment plans
Ensure the organization meets their short and long-term objectives
Manage on-site personnel (human resources) while respecting and promoting the values, image, and culture of the Gattefossé Group
Ensure that group-wide and/or company-wide decisions and procedures are well applied and followed by all employees
Ensure SOPs are available and followed
Ensure the expected certifications are obtained and updated
Build safe, equitable, and motivating working conditions
Be an ambassador in our corporate missions and values locally
Carry out direct managerial responsibilities for the Production Manager, the Quality Manager, the Process Engineer, and the Financial and Administrative Coordinator
Train, manage and support day-to-day activities, including planning, discussing and problem-solving
Coach to improve performance and identify individual shortcomings to help develop and improve performance, measure improvements objectively
Submit and implement ideas to increase productivity, including those coming from direct reports
Lead by example and motivate; retain and attract talent; be a guide and a problem solver
Set quantitative and qualitative objectives
Follow up accomplishments and completion of objectives throughout the year
Ensure their personal and company goals and objectives are met

Minimum 15-20 years’ experience in Chemical Manufacturing
Experience of manufacturing for Pharmaceutical customers
Excellent organizational skills, proficiency with MS Office (with a focus on use of Excel),
Knowledge of ERP
Agility, good presentation skills, ability to work cross-functionally and be a team-player
Experience of professional relations with European culture
Certification LEED, environment, safety, csr commitments
