THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Director of Warehouse Operations is responsible for the overall operational administration and management of our Kansas warehouse, facilities, and logistics. This role will develop and implement strategies for improving key performance indicators including damages, incident rates, overtime, pick rates, and accuracy. The Director of Warehouse Operations will ensure inventory is accounted for in a safe and efficient manner and establish and maintain workflow processes as necessary to meet Company goals as well as performance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Oversee the implementation of all warehouse operations, including but not limited to order fulfillment (4,000+ per week), product production, inventory receipts, warehouse transfers, logistics, scheduling systems, delivery, and transportation, loading dock activity, food storage and security, warehouse temperature control, pest control, emergency action plans, and closing procedures.
Directly supervise the Fulfillment and Production Department Managers.
Oversee the hiring of all Kansas operational positions.
Assist Department Managers with employee relations issues and employee coaching and feedback models.
Develop and drive culture of accountability through daily assessments and operational evaluation.
Direct the activities involved in the efficient movement of product including accurate receipt, storage and distribution maximizing space, resources and avoiding waste or damages.
Establish and monitor adherence to established procedures to ensure safety and sanitation measures are followed in keeping with Company OSHA Safety Standard.
Follow all safety policies and procedures, including reporting all unsafe acts and behaviors, safety hazards, incidents, or accidents immediately.
Ensure an accurate inventory of products at all times through a maintained inventory control system.
Direct the successful implementation, assessment, and transition of all new operational initiatives.
Assist in the development and implementation of productivity standards and goals in support of the overall operating plan.
Create metrics to measure the performance of all areas of warehouse and logistics.
Cultivate a high performance, result-oriented culture by maintaining positive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
Develop quantifiable metrics and management expertise, perform departmental audits to determine cost benefit as well as demand and service capacity.
Manage and maintain payroll budgets, hit financial targets.
Manage costs for warehouse supplies and services.
Serve as a member of the Leadership team and as such is responsible for providing leadership in decision-making and vision building for the Company.
Keep informed about all Company, county, state and federal government policies.
Ensure equipment and facility are operational while identifying opportunities for improvement to reduce waste and manage repair needs.
Oversee preventative maintenance for vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
Develop and manage the safety and sanitation programs.
Display a desire to work with all levels of employees using a compassionate, collaborative, and respectful approach.
Support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and communicating process and safety improvements.

Physical Requirements
This position operates primarily in both an office and warehouse setting. The position requires sitting at a desk and in meetings and involves extensive computer work with frequent interruptions. This position requires monitoring warehouse operations in a warehouse environment internally and externally consisting of hot and cold temperatures. With forklift traffic in the facility and product stacked and stored throughout, this position requires someone who is mobile and who can hear and watch for traffic and normal hazards of a warehouse environment. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, feel, and use repetitive motion. This role can be physically demanding and requires the ability to lift up to sixty (60) pounds. Occasionally, this role is required to respond to organizational needs outside of normal working hours. The position requires a fast pace and is deadline driven.
