July 20th marks the anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 landing on the moon followed by Neil Armstrong’s famous quote:
“That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”
I’ve always been fascinated by the fact that the U.S. space program put a manned spacecraft on the moon in 1969 well before computers were mainstream and certainly before the internet was around. In my lifetime (I was 1 in 1969) indeed much has changed!
I don’t know about you but it’s becoming more and more difficult to keep up with all of the changes in technology. As a father of five busy and active children, a business owner and someone who tries to stay connected to friends and my community, this task of “staying current and relative” is a bit daunting.
However, I’m excited to announce that I’ve made a big decision….I’m taking a giant leap into the world of blogging!
Yes, I’m still scared. What will I write about? Who really cares what I think? Will anyone read it? Will I be committed to writing a blog post every week? I can barely keep up with a consistent prayer life and exercise! How in the world will I blog?Yes, you read it right, I’m officially launching the Cornerstone Kansas City blog and, frankly, I’m scared to death. I realize this announcement isn’t of the same magnitude as stepping onto the surface of the moon, but for me it’s about as foreign.
Well, I’m making the commitment today for the whole world to see. I’m looking forward to sharing some of my insights as a professional recruiter and small business owner. Additionally I will share how my life is impacted outside of work by my roles as a husband, father of five, helpless do-it-yourselfer, drummer, music enthusiast, world traveler, and more.
So sit back and keep an eye out for our new blog. We welcome your feedback, your thoughts, suggestions for topics you’d like to see us write about, and anything else you’d like to share.
Thank you for taking this one giant step with us! We encourage all businesses to share their ideas, values, and stories through blogging. It not only connects with your customers, but helps pass along insightful information to others. The first step is just writing something. Go after it!
